I am Secretary of London Metropolitan Network Ltd (LMN).
I used to work at SOAS University of London.
One of the highlights of my time at SOAS was to establish the SOAS Digital Library. This is system is based on Open Source software called SobekCM.
The SOAS Library the first in the UK to install an Open Source Library system called OLE (see below). This was part of a suite of Open Source Systems including, for example, the VuFind Discovery system as its Library public interface.
The SOAS Library did some very interesting work with the Kuali Foundation.
This has now transferred to the OLE Partnership.
I previously worked for JISC as its Director of Services.
Before that, I was Head of ICT in the Office of ILS at the University of Greenwich.
A very, very long time ago (well, in the 1970s), I worked in Community Access Video in Australia. Some former colleagues have recently put together a web-site documenting some of these activities in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne. Look closely enough and you might find some very early John Robinson lurking there.
